Confidential Mediation is a trade name of Kiernan & Associates,
LLC, which was formed in 2000 by Terry Kiernan. Confidential
Mediation has provided several hundred mediations of various
types to the County and District courts of Adams, Broomfield,
Boulder, Denver, Gilpin and Jefferson counties in Colorado.
These include many types of civil money damages, landlord/
tenant, Permanent Protection Order hearings, and family conflicts
of all kinds.
The focus of Confidential Mediation's work currently is on family
conflicts: couples, parenting, siblings, elder care, probate, to name
a few. In most of its family mediation cases, it uses a
co-mediation model, consisting of a male and female mediator.
All the mediators who work with Confidential Mediation have
extensive mediation experience in these types of cases.
Several of the participating mediators of Confidential Mediation
are members of Boulder Family Mediation Alliance, which provides
divorce and parenting mediation to residents of Boulder County
on a sliding-scale fee basis. Occasionally, Confidential Mediation
extends that concept to residents of Broomfield County. Most of
the participating co-mediators have their own mediation private
practices. Quoted mediation fees is inclusive of both mediators.
Confidential Mediation continues its membership of the Better
Business Bureau of Denver/Boulder because it strongly believes
in supporting activities that promote honest and straightforward
business practices and communication with clients or customers.
